Creating Access and Inclusion in Worship
WHO'S LISTENING? WHO'S IN YOUR AUDIENCE?
Everyone at today’s worship service has felt marginalized, disregarded, and ignored. Everyone knows what it is like to feel vulnerable, exposed, and in need of the help and support of others to survive. Yet, many of us choose to deny or conceal our vulnerabilities because we live in a culture that glorifies strength, power, and dominance. The task today is to help all members of the congregation acknowledge their own vulnerabilities?whether hidden or exposed?and see how much we need one another to thrive.
