The Scriptures' stories today show us that everyone who is open to God moving in their lives can experience healing, gratitude and conversion, even those who we would least expect, like the foreigner who returned to thank Jesus. Mary Virginia Merrick was open to God acting in her life. Like Naaman, she realized that simple acts done with faith can reveal the transforming love of God in powerful ways. Like Paul, her devotion to Christ could not be confined by any hardship.
