Congregations Celebrate Inclusion Awareness Day

Since 1996 Pathways Awareness Foundation has encouraged congregations to observe Inclusion Awareness Day. The goal of Inclusion Awareness Day is to create congregations where people of all abilities participate every day of the year. The day marks the beginning of inclusion efforts for some congregations. For others it marks a continuing endorsement of inclusion. Congregations celebrate this day because they seek to welcome, affirm and include people of all abilities into full membership in their faith community. The following congregations have contacted Pathways Awareness Foundation about how they used an awareness day event or month to showcase efforts to include persons of all abilities every day of the year.
