A ramp with handrails now leads to the altar. The ramp blends beautifully with the interior of the church. Design suggestions for ramps: 36” minimum clear width between handrails and maximum slope of 1” of rise for every 12” of run. The base is flush with the adjacent flooring. Ramp should have a 60” level area at base and top. |
